What Causes Recurrent Conjunctivitis?

I have had a air borne virus in my eyes since beginning of September. I have a had antibiotics 3 times already and have done two weeks of compresses and lid and lash wipes twice daily. It came back within 4 days of being finishes with drops. How come it keeps coming back. I haven t worn any makeup since Sept.

It may not be infective and may be due to an allergy either to cosmetics, soap, hair dye or new shampoo which you may be using. please discuss this with your doctor. Thanks
