What Causes Recurrent Headache And Left-sided Swelling On The Face?

I have had a headache for two weeks. Began when I was about to climax. Pain was so severe I had to sit and cried. A few days later I was straining as I was having a bowel movement and the excruciating pain came again. A few days after that I was lifting a laundry bag and again. The pain begins from the back of my neck and moves upward and is primarily on my right side. My head is also sensitive to touch in certain areas. My eyes have been extremely sensitive to light and I have been wearing sunglasses indoors for these weeks. The past few days I have been seeing black spots too. Last Friday I had slight swelling under my right eye. The next day the left side of my face was swollen. CT scan was okay.

Hello,

Subarachnoidal haemorrhage should be considered in my opinion. When the amount of the blood is small or CT delayed, this may be not visible. In my opinion, a brain MRI is necessary for a correct diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
