What Causes Recurrent Pain Around The Abdomen And Back While Having IBS?

Hello, I am a 27 year old female who has been diagnosed with IBS over a year ago. It was discovered by the amount of hospital visits due to pain ranging anywhere from the front to the back of my abdomen. Recently for the past 9 days I have been having a different experience. On the first day the pain on my left side became sudenly crippling and I had to drop to the floor. I was crying out in pain for hours after. The pain reduced only slightly after a scolding hot bath. Ever since then the pain fluctuates, but consistently, when I stand and move around for even 10 minutes the pain increases rapidly. My husband is telling me to go to the hospital, but I m hesitant because I keep hoping it will pass like my IBS pain does. Usually my pain is on my right side, but it is mainly on the left.
