What Causes Recurrent Red Colored Bump On Penis?

I have a kind of squishy red lump on my penis, it has a yellow tip so I assumed it was a pimple, I squeezed it and a clear yellow liquid came out, it then hardened and was red. The next day it had a yellow tip I did the same thing, just wondering if this is what I should be doing?
