What Causes Recurrent Strange Feeling In The Head?

My brother has problems with his head. He says it is not dizziness but his head fills strange and he gets a sick feeling and has to lie down. He comes and goes, sometimes for a couple weeks before it occurs again. He has had every test thinkable done and they have not found anything and what to keep calling it dizziness . He tries to tell them that is not what it is...just a strange feeling he cannot explain exactly how it feels. Any ideas?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that his symptoms could be related to an inner ear disorder or a cervical vertebral column bulging disc. A brain lesion can not be excluded either. For this reason, I would recommend performing a brain MRI study and a cervical spine X ray study. If these tests result normal, consulting with an ENT specialist would be the next step to follow.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
