What Causes Recurring Blood In Urine?

Hi, I have intermittent blood spots after passing urine ,this has gone on for about 20 years, no problem for months then maybe a recurrence for several days, on & off, Usually at then end of a clear stream, with possibly some stinging during urination, usually occurs at night more than during day. I have just had a UTI test last week with neg results. no associated pain or discomfort and only a few drops,,,,,,,,, Where to now??????????
