What Causes Recurring Hard Bump In Throat?

I keep having a recurring hard bump/pimple in the back left side of my throat. It is not like strep throat and is not painful. I thought it was from too much salt but it just doesn t seem to matter what triggers it. It will pop on its own after a day or so, be gone for about a week and then come back again. It this something to be concerned about?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, the swelling seems to be a lymphoid follicle which normally form part of the throat lining. This lymphoid tissue is usually a part of a ring of lymphoid tissue normally present in throat. There is no need to worry about this. In case it is very annoying, cauterization can be done. An ENT examination will help in confirming this as lymphoid tissue. Regards
