What Causes Recurring Pain In The Side Of The Neck Upon Exercising?

Each time I exercise lately, I ve been having a pain in the side of my neck midway between shoulder and jaw. It seems to be that artery. It goes away when exercise is over. It s mild but noticeable. I m 67 years old. The symptom checker says seek emergency medical treatment. This is concerning.

x ray of neck
CBC with ESR
TLC

also get a chest x ray and ECG done on safer side.

take muscle relexants like flexon mr for symptomatic relief
