What Causes Recurring Sore Throat In Spite Of Tonsillectomy?
I am 22, female and have suffered with sore throats for years, had my tonsils out when I was 19 but still get bad sore throats. For the last couple of days I have woken up to which looks like blood in the back of my throat, it looks like a swollen vein but it goes away when I have a drink. I have a lot of veins showing at the back of my throat and where apparently my tonsils have grown back are swollen. Just wondered whether this could be something serious or not?
Hey.. Sore throat can be due to inflammation of the pharynx(pharyngitis) or tonsils(tonsillitis) or both(tons I'll pharyngitis).. Removing the tonsils gives relief from tonsillitis and now what u have is pharyngitis.. U need to get ur sinuses checked up.. Or it could be due to reflux of gastric acid( Castro esophageal. Reflux disease).. Improve ur diet to improve immunity too!
