What Causes Recurring Sores On Buttocks?

Hi there, I keep getting sores on my buttocks which seem to ooze clear fluid and take ages to heal and even when they stop oozing I am left with brown scarring..went to my gp this week and now on fuciden ointment and penicillin but have to go for a blood test for diabetes now. these ulcers have now started appearing on my arms now...help!

Hi. I think you are having recurrent furunculosis. It is a bacterial infection and recurrent infection results from colonization of nose or other areas. I suggest you to apply mupirocin cream twice daily on 5 sites (nose, ears, axilla, umbillicus and perianal area) for 7 days per month for 6 months. Also, use a triclosan based antibacterial soap for 1 month. Hope it helps
