What Causes Red Blood In My Stool?

couple days ago I noticed red blood in my stool, slight transient pain on my right side. I woke up today with a bad headache and have had one all day. Any ideas? The blood is just when I defecate and doesn t gush out, but just a few drops when i go and when i wipe a small bit shows on my tp.

Hello,
The blood could be because of internal hemorrhoids or a fissure( which is usually painful).
I would suggest to get a rectal examination done. This will help to find the cause of the bleeding.
In the meantime I would suggest adding a fibre supplement like psyllium husk to your diet.
Please visit your doctor for a physical and rectal exam
