Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 3 1/2 year old was running with a stick. i had repeatedly told her no running wit it and i took it away. she kept getting it out. to make the story short she now has a red blood shot eye. and its watery and all around her eye is red a blotchy. she says she can see. but im not sure if i should take her to the emergency room or just watch it for a little bit.
It looks like she got hit in the eye. Her eyes should be examined by a physician or an ophthalmologist to rule out any foreign body in the eyes. It's better to take her to emergency and get it checked. Usually bloodshot in the eye will take 2 to 3 weeks to settle.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
