For 7 yrs the lower parts of my legs show red bruises then turn black as though my skin was burn. The legs would get hot and pour out sweat even on a cold day. Under the skin my tissue in that bruise area gets hard like a insect bite. All my blood work came by great. Even my bihops. I do work longs hours over 12 hours a day i have had support socks but no luck.. What is happening to my legs?
Hi. As per your case history you are having pigmented purpuric dermatosis. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid standing for long periods of time and keep pillows below legs while sleeping. 2. Apply a calcium dobisilate cream like Osil cream twice a day. 3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months. 4. Other treatment options are oral multivitamins, oral calcium dobisilate taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
