What Causes Red Bumps In The Back Of Throat?

I have quite a few bumps in the back of my throat with red/white patches on the back sides of my mouth. It feels like there is a lump back there when I swallow with a small amount of clear mucus at times. My throat is not sore though - should I make an appoitment or ride this out? (This happened Friday evening as well but went away overnight and didn t bother me until last night again.) Thank you!
