my scalp breaks out in the afternoon. They appears to be like red dots or pimples on the scalp. They are itchy and can be broken when scratched. I've changed my shampoo to nizoral and to sulfate-free shampoos. There are day's I when I do not break out and day's like today when they just appear.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain red dots or pimple like bumps over the scalp can be due to causes like allergic reaction to any shampoo or hair cosmetic while can also be due to hair follicle infection or Folliculitis.. I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist or a Trichologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like prick test, patch test etc to check for allergies while microscopic examination of scraping from the scalp can help in diagnosis and treated accordingly.. You can be advised to apply antibiotic and steroid ointment over the scalp.. Wash the scalp every alternate day with a mild shampoo.. You can also be advised oral antibiotics and anti allergics for relief from itching as well as infection.. Do cool compresses over the scalp..
Hope this information helps..
