What Causes Red, Itchy And Swollen Clitoris After Having Unprotected Sex?
I have a very red itchy and swollen clitoris, I had sex last night w/o a condom and I have been with my partner for to years and have been tested a few months ago. I have just finished thrush medication a few days ago. Not sure what I should do please help.
This is most likely a result of vaginal yeast infection. Itching and burning/sore sensation on passing urine are symptoms of yeast infection. Vaginal yeast infections may also associated with thick chunky vaginal discharge that is common in yeast infections. If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to use an OTC topical antifungal e.g clotrimazole vaginal tablets once daily for 7 days. A single dose of an Oral antifungal e.g fluconzole is also curative. Oral antifungals are prescription drugs. If the condition does'nt improve as expected, I would suggest that you visit a specialist for a review of the diagnosis.
