I will keep a possibility of
Scabies here. Points in favour of scabies are: Itching which is more at night, the distribution of the
rash and history of similar complaints in close contacts.
Scabies can present as itchy bumps on upper inner thighs, lower abdomen, torso, arms and arm pits, legs, hands and feet.
All those affected should be treated simultaneously with a single whole body application of 5% Permethrin lotion, kept overnight for 8 hours, followed by scrub bath next day; alternatively a single Oral dose of Ivermectol can also be given.
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g
cetrizine 10 mg once daily would provide symptomatic relief from itching.
