Such symptoms (red spots and irritation in the genital area) are commonly caused by poor genital hygiene, rashes, heat rash, yeast infection, thrush or after having sex with someone who is infected. Take bath regularly, clean your private area. Do not use harsh soap or chemical lotions. Always use water based lotion or herbal lotion. Wear soft loose fitting cotton undies and clothes. Change clothes everyday and get them washed in hot water. Do not wear clothes on which you have sweated if they are not washed and freshened. Avoid multiple partners. Be gentle with yourself when self pleasuring. You can apply ointment clotrimazole, on the area affected. Take a course of anti-fungal medications orally to get rid of the symptoms.
