What Causes Red Meaty Thing Hanging From The Left Side Of The Throat?

I was at my daughter s soccer practice when I felt something in the back of my throat . Neither coughing nor swallowing helped the discomfort. I checked a mirror at home and there is a red meaty thing hanging from the left side of my throat. It seems to have a white dot on it but it also seems to disappear at random or seem bigger or smaller with no explanation. What could this be and should I see a doctor?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Obviously you have to see a Doctor and preferably an ENT to get a confirmed diagnosis.
The red meaty thing hanging in the throat can be an antro-chonal polyp and needs investigations like CT scan and removal and sending this to the histopathology examination.
Ruling out cancer is very important at your age.
