What Causes Red/purple Lump Hanging From Tonsil?

Earlier this evening I felt as though I had something stuck at the back of my mouth like food or something but drinking water made no difference. I just ignored it for a while but then when I came to bed I looked in the mirror & have a red/purple lump hanging from my right tonsil with like a black spot on it. It s as if it s come out of nowhere & now I know something is there I am noticing it more. It s not painful at all just annoying. Help?! Please x

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You may have granular pharyngitis. You should take a course of antibiotics like levofloxacin or azithromycin. Also you should do saline gargle. It will help in relriving the symptoms. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. If it is not responding to treatment then consult ent specialist.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
