What Causes Red Rashes On Chest Which Turns To White In Color?

Hi, I have developed a rash on my chest (I am a woman) which starts as red spots, then they turn brown and later some turn into white spots. I saw the same on my ex bfriend and a year later I developed the same thing. Could it be a fungal or yeast infection? How do I treat it? Thanks, Mia

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is tinea corporis which is a fungal infection. It is characterised by multiple erythematous anular lesions. The possible treatment options include topical antifungal cream like clotrimazole over the affected area. Oral antifungal tablets like fluconazole may also be used. Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards
