What Causes Red Skin Discoloration On The Left Knee?
I have some red skin discolration on my left knee. First noticed when bathing and thought it was just heat related. Now it’s back and not going away. Yesterday I noticed 4 blisters had formed in the area. They are filled with clear liquid. No pain or itching until two of them broke open when I put my knee on the floor. They’re painful similar to a blister from a shoe rubbing on a heel.
As per your case history, you are suffering from Eczema on left knee, my treatment advice is:
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like Fusiderm-B cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
