What Causes Red, Small Bumpy Area On Upper Lip?

I had what felt like red small bumpy area on my upper lip. I ve been using EOS for months with no problem. about 2 days later it went away. I made the mistake of using it all over my lips (after I used it on the bothersome part of my lip) and now both my top and bottom lip feel sandpaperish. The bumps are too small to notice but I can feel them. Never had this happen before. Any idea as to what this could be?

Hi.
As per your case-history my advice is-
1. EOS is less likely to cause such rashes because it contains mild contents like vitamin e and shea butter. But it is better to stop it for now.
2. Such changes on lips may be either physiological seasonal change or maybe irritation due to some change in products like toothpaste.
3. Just apply plain ghee on lips at present and mupirocin ointment once at night.

Thanks.
