What Causes Red/sore Navel Skin With Clear Odorless Liquid Leaking From It?

Yesterday, I wiped the outside of my navel and it felt as if I were wiping away salt or sand. Today it is leaking a clear odorless liquid, Inside of navel is red and appears that skin is broken. Not much pain, but sore. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi

You seem to have developed an infective eczema over the naval region.
Now such an infection of this area is relatively common since this area is not properly cleaned many times.
You need to keep the affected area clean and dry .
Clean it with a topical antiseptic lotion twice a day .
Apply a topical antibiotic cream like neosporin over the affected areas twice a day .
Do not apply any other cream or oil over it .
You might need a course of oral antibiotics in case the infection tends to persist or increase .

Hope it helps
