Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m a 21 year old male. For the past 6 months every time I would have a BM when I would wipe there would be quite a few of these small shiny red and black flakes/flecks and I m worried it might be blood. I put some in water over night and they never dissolved but I do not know if that even means anything or not (read on the internet dry blood dissolves in water) for the past year I ve had a anal fissure that seems to finally be going away/ easing up. Could that be the cause of these black and red flakes/flecks?
Consult surgeon and get your proctoscopic examination...
Take fruits more to avoid constipation. Water more. Avoid excess spicy food... Local topical lidocaine gel can be applied to relieve pain.... Warm water sitz bath useful.... Avoid straining at stool....
If still with medical therapy you are not recover surgery needed like sphinctetotomy...
Meanwhile get your stool examined for pus cells and parasitic if detected .... Then causative treatment done.
