What Causes Red Spot In Inner Ear?

I was told that i had a red spot in my inner ear and tha it is called perichondritis/chondritis of pinna nad need to be removed. what cause this? how can it be removed and is it dangerest? can it cause loss of hearing? should i go for sceond opinoin?

hello, thanks for your query, 1. no body can see inner ear( red spots could be on ear drum. 2.perichondritis is a cartilage infection of external ear, in severe form can involve inner ear or brain structures. 3. most commonly caused by pseudomonas bacteria. 4. it can be controlled by antibiotics. so, kindly visit your ent surgeon for further evaluation and treatment. hope I have answered your query.all the best. take care.
