What Causes Red Spots All Over The Buttocks?

I have small red areas on my butt that aren t pimples but aren t what appear to be bug bites either. They don t itch and aren t bulbous like a whitehead pimple. Just red spots about 4-5 inches apart from eachother. There s 5 of them and they are all on the left. Another piece of information I d like to add is that I ve been a bit low on money lately so I ve had to resort to fast food nearly every meal of the day. What is the cause of whatever these red spots are on my behind?

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is furunculosis which is an infection of the hair follicle. It can be treated with topical antibacterial creams like mupirocin. You must avoid pricking or fiddling with them. A short course of oral antibiotic like azithromycin might also help. Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards .
