What Causes Red Spots All Over The Skin With History Of Heart Surgery?

Hello. I woke up and noticed that I suddenly have small red spots all over my skin. They are more prominent on my feet, near my ankles, but they are all over my arms and legs as well. I took a blood test this morning, but want more information. I am 79 years old, with a history of severe back pains, open heart surgery, and recently was hospitalized due to a fluid build up in my lungs.

Do get yourself checked for a hemorrhagic rash caused by taking anti platelet agents typically given after heart surgery- your dose may need to be monitored.
The other reason for such a rash could be a viral illness in which case you should be having some amount of itching also, so that's a clue, and it should go away in a few days.
Whatever it might be, avoid rubbing or scratching the affected areas and wear loose clothing.
