What Causes Red Spotting In Urine And Cramps While Experiencing Delay In Periods?
Hi, I am am married lady of age 26. I recently traveled from one country to another. The temperature difference was from Celsius 27 to -12 Celsius. My due date of period was Jan 7. But on 19th day I saw some red spotting in urine. I have missed my period and pregnancy test shows negative. I have severe cramps in my legs, which is all over the day. Any help?
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Stress can lead to a transient hormone disturbance and result in menstrual irregularity. Since you traveled with a wide climate change, this could have affected your hormonal milieu. Also, spotting in urine suggests some infection and hence urinalysis is needed. A renal scan may also be done to rule out upper urinary tract infection. Cramping can be premenstrual as well. In this scenario, you should get an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres to clarify. If positive, further management can be planned. If negative, hormone profile is to be done to plan proper treatment. Hope this helps.
