What Causes Red Stools In Patient On Antibiotics?

hii, i want to ask you that my son was on anderoids treatment with megamox antibiotic,lorinase and nasal drops,his antibiotic finished on tuesday and he is having light brown to red soft stools from saturday.he ate local choclate on friday night..? is this normal ?

Hi,

The consistency of stool and color of it is entirely depends upon the diet taken, if no symptoms are there then it is the normal one and no need to worry about this, the symptoms is the indication of some disease if this is with the change of color and consistency of stool, and just to clear the doubt, stool can be sent for lab test.
