What Causes Red Swelled Cut And Streak On Toe With Fever?
My daughter has a small cut on the top of her big toe. Last night I noticed it was red and a little swollen. And there was a red streak going down her foot below it. I cleaned it and bandaged it. The red streak is not as prominent but she is running a fever of 102.1 tonight. Should I take her to the er?

It seems that there might be having acute bacterial infection giving rise fever, swelling and induration on the part.
She might require one course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine course for 3-5 days.
Clean the wound and dress it with antibiotic cream.
Ok and take care.
