I have a red swelling just under (1 cm) each ear. It.s been there for a few days and I did a CBC test that came back normal. The doctor gave me a strong antibiotic for three days now. The swelling has reduced a little. The doctor and lab technician said it could be due to some past infection. What should I do ?
Hi.. welcome to healthcaremagic.com and myself Dr. Atishay Bukharia would be answering your questions..
Red swelling under the eyes can be because of angioedema or Seborrheic blepharitis. Chronic red swelling indicates ATOPIC DERMATITIS. Systemic contact dermatitis can also manifest as red swelling, treatment depends on the diagnosis so consult good Dermatologist or send us the photographs for proper evaluation..
hope it helps
