What Causes Reddening Of The Eye Post A Fall?

I am 49 years old and fell on a concrete pool deck on Saturday night hitting top of my forehead very hard. It swelled to goose egg immediately and we applied ice off and on for 4 hours. I feel ok but today my left eye is red/black. Should I still go to doctor.

black eye is due to head injury. blood has reached subconjunctival space due to developmental continuity. this is self limiting and will go by itself. it may take 15days time. no treatment is required.
