What Causes Reddish Bump Around Pubic Area After Having Unprotected Sex?
Hi,
I had unprotected sex with the girl I am dating (who said she was tested and clean). Just the other day I noticed a reddish bump around my pubic area.
A little while back I had very tiny white-ish bumps along my shaft and I looked them up online and discovered they were harmless...some time later I have noticed that drastically reduced in number and appearance.
However, just the other day I noticed a reddish bump around my pubic area. I shaved some of my pubic hair today and noticed 5-8 bumps on my pubic area close to the base of my penis. Here is a picture (close up and only that certain region)

They do not hurt nor are they itchy. Only one of the bumps is actually reddish. Please provide your opinion. I will be seeing a doctor imminently about this but would like your opinion. Thank you.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
I will keep a likely possibility of Genital Warts/Condyloma acuminata for multiple, asymptomatic, reddish or skin coloured bumps in the pubic area, of a sexually active male. Genital warts are caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). It is an STD. Your specialist would confirm the diagnosis. Genital warts may increase in number and spread to surrounding skin by auto-innoculation, facilitated by the trauma of shaving. Treatment is ablation of the warts either By Co 2 laser, Radiofrequency cautery, electrocautery.
