What Causes Reddish Lump In The Vagina?

Hi.. am 27yrs old & for quite few months not active in sex. am having this reddish lump near my vaginal lips almost 5 of them together.. 3 on one side & 2 on other. I notice that 2 of them aren t painful, other 3 are really painful. pls suggest what can be done to get rid of this.

hi.

based from your description, yes, it could be folliculitis. this usually occurs after shaving or when a hair is accidentally pulled out and it gets infected. it could also be a cyst, or an inflammatory reaction which is starting to form an abscess. a consult with your gynecologist is best for clinical evaluation. medical and/or surgical management will be directed accordingly.
