What Causes Reddish Painful Bumps On Tonsils After A Bout Of Cold?

Hi, I ve had what I believe the flu at first. Fever, sore throat, headache, cough etc. All that went away except for a more even worse cough and swollen tonsils. I now have a big bump on my right tonsil. With a red vein at the top. It s extremely painful when I swallow. And also, I have red bumps on the far back side of my tongue. And I had one white bump too, that looked more like pus of a pimple. What is it?

Hello,

Your current problem includin fever and sore throat may have been due to acute infections in tonsills. You need to take proper medication.

General advise:

1. Saline gargles or any antiseptic gargles of your choice frequently
2. Follow proper oral hygeine
3. Avoid cold food and beverages
