What Causes Redness And Burning Sensation Before Large Blisters On Bilateral Index Fingers?
Have large blisters on bilateral index fingers-- begin at the hand metacarpal joint and then at the second joint. Redness and burning preceded the blister. Feeling of burning from the inside. Was taking 21 day 100mg bid Doxycycline for tick bite that occurred in MA (prophylactic for Lyme disease). Was exposed to some sun causing mild sunburn on nose and chin. Had to buy hat because one area of scalp very sensitive. Hands probably received sun through windshield of car as passenger. But redness and blistering pattern not over entire hand.
Hi. As per your case history you are having pompholyx on hands. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition. 2. Soak the hands in potassium permanganate solution in dilution of 1 :10000 once daily. 3. Apply a potent topical steroid cream like clobetasol cream twice daily on it. 4. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching.
