What Causes Redness And Swelling In The Eye?

hello, i recently woke up with my left eye a bit closed, red, and with some swelling, particularly my lower eye lids. Yesterday my right eye became red too but it is not as swollen nor as shut as my left one. I also noticed some mild swelling near my left ear. My eyes have become watery and my left one a bit blurry. I am 28 years of age and am very worried. What do I need to do now?

Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having redness and swelling of the eye.
These symptoms indicate infection of the eye in the form of conjunctivitis or blrpharitis.
This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics and antiinflammatory drugs.
The infection is contagious and it spreads to other eye as well as to others who are in close contact.
Hence you should take precautions like avoiding close contact, washing the hands after touching the infected eye, using separate kerchiefs,.....
Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
With regards
