Hi, this swollen painfull red leg may be celluliltis or a deep vein thrombosis.
The diagnosis is confirmed by thorough clinical examination and series of test ranging from full blood count, doppler ultrasound of leg and d-dimer.
After when diagnosis is confirmed for cellulitis you may need benzylpencillin injections if you are not allergic to it.
Deep vein thrombosis may need anticoagulation.
I think it is better to get an appointment of a physician to examine you and treat you after confirming the diagnosis.
I hope you got your answer,i will be happy to help you further.
