What Causes Redness Around Skin Tag Removal Site?

Hello Doctors, I had 20 or so skin tags treated w/ liquid nitrogen 7 days ago. The Dr. very liberally sprayed the skin tag, but also the good skin around it. Will my good skin be permanently damaged from the blast? Most of the tags were about 2cm. Now EACH SITE is 3 to 4 times bigger than the size of the skin tag itself. Each site is dark reddish brown. Is this normal? I ve had them blasted before and don t remember them looking this awful, especially the area of good skin around the tag? Do I need to go to the Dr.? Please and thank you, CJ :)

Hello. Its normal to develop redness after cryotherapy (with liquid nitrogen). It usually goes away in a week (may vary depending on depth of freeze). And dont worry about surrounding skin. They will come back to their normal appearance soon. Hope it answers your queries.
