Haii Doctor. I am a 29 aged boy. I am workig in a exporting company. My problem is I am a socaill drinker. I started this more than 8 years. Now my problem fro last ome month when I drink a small amout of liqur my face will come red colour, Haert beating very fast, Vain in forhead poping up fastly, Itching etc.. I am a business man and in meetings I cannot drink as usually and I am totally worried. Can you pls help me.

Well, the symptoms that you have can all be explained by alcohol intoxication. It is a normal effect of alcohol, not indicating any serious condition. However, the symptom should ware off after the effect of alcohol is gone. Yeah, this is an Asian thing. The metabolism of alcohol is genetically based One of the breakdown products (acetaldehyde) causes this. It is increasingly made in us Asians and we are predisposed to this. It tends to make less likely to enjoy alcohol.
