What Causes Redness In The Eyes Causing Sensitivity To The Light?
I have a redness inside the eyes area, specifically lower eye. It is not a redness of the eyeball. It also itches. It does creat some pain to the eye and ocassionally there is sensitivity to light. I have been tested for basic environment allergies with nothing positive.
Although an allergic reaction could cause findings such as what you're describing, also an inflammatory process (also known as uveitis), or even dry eye, should be ruled out. My suggestion would be to go with an Ophthalmologist so that he can do a full examination under a slit lamp and define which is the cause, and, if needed, start a work up to know which is the cause and also start treatment.
Don't hesitate in letting me know if you have an other questions.
