I am a type 1 diabetic and noticed a large red portion of the white part of my left eye. It is the same eye where I had a blood vessel break near the retina and needed eye surgery to remove the dark spots and branches I saw in my vision. I have been fine for years. Now I feel like there is something in my eye -- like a film-- that has made my eye red and my vision slightly more blurry. At first I thought it might be pink eye, but no oozing or traditional symptoms. Do I need to see my retina doctor?
it is conjuctival hemorrhage and not connected to diabetes type one complication of retinal hemorrhage.. it is self limiting and apply cold compression.get your eye checked by eye doctor and ophthalmoscopy is to be done for for detecting film in vision. diabetic retinopathy is to be excluded.
