Hi. I have a red nose on the tip I had it about a month I,ve put antiseptic cream on it but nothing gets ride of it it s also sore just up inside the nostril I give up smoking a year and half a go and don,t drink achoal. I,m male about 47 Years old

This may be due to the following reasons: Collumellitis and occurs due to to regular fondling of the inside of the nose due to real irritation or as a habit formation or as a result of stress relieving habit. Cartilages of the ala get infected and inflamed.
I would advise you the following; First of all, stop habit of touching the area consciously. Get an antibiotic cover for a 3 week course and an anti-inflammatory medicines. Do not apply anything locally.
Get a review once at least by an ENT Surgeon to have a look-in.
