What Causes Redness Of Skin After An Injection?

Age 25 Height 5'3 Weight 140 History Healthy: 12 days ago I was injected with smallpox by my doctor in my left arm. I believe its at the starting point of scabbing over, but I'm worried about the redness almost rash looking that form around the injection site and spreading around. Should I be concerned bout the redness?
