What Causes Redness On Feet While Standing?

I have a 15 year old son whose feet have begun to turn red whenever he stands up... He mentioned it to me about 3 days ago & we are watching for it... It IS happening each time he stands... What could this mean? (He is pretty active... Both outdoor & indoor soccer seasons just recently ended)

redness over the soles is indicative of increase blood flow due to physical activity and sometimes it is due to excessive use of shoes with effect of sweat over the cutaneous vasculature..
