What Causes Redness, itchiness And Dryness After Waxing?

I am an esthetician. On Tuesday I did an underarm waxing treatment. Client contacted me today and stated she has redness, itching and dryness. She would like to know the cause and how to treat it. I am thinking to ice it and use bacitracin. Any other suggestions?
