Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Reduced And Dark Gold Colored Urination?
my husband is 78, and last few days has very decreased urine flow. it is dark gold. his skin itches. He is a drinker and also takes pain medicine as well as blood pressure meds, embrel, celexa, flomax and statins. could his low urine be related to drugs or something more serious?
Hai, As decreased urine outflow is Oliguria. Oliguria is considered to be a urinary output of less than 400 milliliters, which is less than about 13.5 ounces, over the course of 24 hours. dark gold colour urine seems to be because of concentrated urine and itching may be due to localized dryness in the surrounding area due to low hydration.
less intake of water and intake of above medication may also indicates dark colored urine. advised to take more water. if still the problem is resolved contact your treating physician.
