Hi,

Losing weight with diarrhoea should be evaluated by proper history and examination to differentiate between small and large bowel diarrhoea, which will later decide from where to take the biopsy if needed. I would like to check for some blood tests as well like Hb, calcium, albumin, stool R/E, ESR, renal biochemistry and electrolytes. Later I would like to check anti TTG IgA to check out for celiac disease as well. If tests results aren't conclusive, then would like to go for upper GI Endoscopy plus biosy. However you need to consult your gastroenterologist to take proper history and examination and proceed accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
