What Causes Regular Fluttering In Chest Around Sternum?
I have had regular fluttering in my chest area lately, around my sternum area. No pain as such but can get slightly uncomfortable and mentally concerning at times. No heartburn. I m a 33 year old male, overweight but not obese and play sport twice a week.
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should get done 1. ECG 2. Holter monitoring (continuous recording of ECG) To rule out arrhythmia. As arrhythmia can cause rapid heart rate (tachycardia), which can be felt as palpitation and perceived as fluttering sensation. If both are negative then no need to worry much. It may be due to anxiety only. So avoid stress and tension. Be relax and calm.
